An algorithm for remote pharmaceutical consulting has been developed, enabling automated selection of medications by international nonproprietary names when a prescription is available, with capability for integration into regional monitoring systems. For over-the-counter cases, the algorithm generates personalized recommendations based on comprehensive analysis of symptoms and identification of ‘red flags’ associated with main manifestations of gastroesophageal reflux disease - heartburn and regurgitation. The practical implementation has been carried out through a specialized Telegram bot named ‘СтопИзжоге’, which conducts structured collection of medical history and provides recommendations in strict accordance with current clinical guidelines. The developed solution fully complies with the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Health Order No. 647n. The relevance of this development is driven by the progressively increasing prevalence of heartburn and regurgitation, along with the high frequency of uncontrolled self-medication cases in the population.
In the context of modernization of higher medical education, the personal and socio-communicative competencies of university teachers acquire special importance, as they determine the effectiveness of pedagogical interaction and the quality of professional training. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of higher education teachers’ soft skills as a resource for improving the quality of personnel training in a medical university. The empirical research was conducted at Kursk State Medical University and included 437 teachers from clinical and non-clinical departments. The results of the study showed that a high level of soft skills development correlates with increased psychosomatic well-being of teachers and is accompanied by a decrease in the intensity of professional stress and emotional exhaustion that may lead to burnout, which has a positive impact on the quality of training of medical and pharmaceutical professionals. It is concluded that teachers’ soft skills are a systemic factor in ensuring the quality of the educational process and act as a regulator between their psycho-emotional state and the effectiveness of students’ training in medical universities.
Objective. To examine the collaboration between physicians and pharmaceutical professionals in the provision of pharmacotherapy for patients with cardiovascular diseases, particularly arterial hypertension (AH). Materials and Methods. A comparative analysis of the structure and workflow of medical (MO) and pharmacy (PO) organizations in Kursk city and region was performed. The study included a survey of healthcare professionals involved in the medication provision process. Results. Significant discrepancies were identified between the prescribed and dispensed medications in four pharmacological groups, indicating insufficient coordination between physicians and pharmacy staff. Professional profiles of physicians and pharmacists were developed to characterize their roles in managing patients with AH. The study also highlighted the relevance of non-pharmacological approaches to disease management, including the improvement of patient compliance through counseling, identifying physical and psychological barriers to treatment, and preventive work with healthy individuals visiting pharmacies. Conclusion. The findings emphasize the need for close collaboration between physicians and pharmaceutical professionals, based on cross-communication and shared decision-making in the management of patients with arterial hypertension.
A clinical-laboratory algorithm has been developed and implemented in practice, based on a comprehensive analysis of ejaculate and its sediment through multilevel diagnostics integrating chemical-microscopic, functional, metabolic, molecular, and microbiological semen parameters into a single diagnostic model. The algorithm’s stages are sequential, with the application of each stage determined situationally and personalized, taking into account the rationale for selection and the priority of the objectives set. The use of a single non-invasive biomaterial – ejaculate – has made the patient examination process completely painless, stress-free, and rapid, while maintaining maximum diagnostic depth. This concept transforms the paradigm of the previous traditional approach to semen analysis, establishing a clear diagnostic pathway toward a personalized strategy for correcting identified disorders and optimizing the diagnostic process prior to the prescription of costly and invasive procedures.
The effective implementation of the Pharma 2030 strategy requires the training of highly qualified personnel to meet the current and future needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers. Currently, additional qualification requirements for specialists with higher pharmaceutical education have not been defined. Current professional standards have not been developed for all stages of drug development, production and promotion. Professional competencies written in the draft of the approximate basic educational program is mainly relevant for specialists in wholesalers and retail pharmaceutical sales. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the current situation. Based on the results of the study, specific ways are proposed to achieve the result of educational activities in the field of industrial pharmacy.
The availability of medicines is associated with the number and uniformity of distribution of pharmacies throughout the territory of the Russian Federation. In this regard, this paper presents the results of assessing the level of market concentration of entities in the pharmacy segment of the Russian pharmaceutical market. The data obtained show that with an increase in the number of pharmacy chains and their share in the retail segment, the level of market concentration also increases and leads to an increase in the market power of the leaders of the pharmacy segment of the Russian pharmaceutical market. At the same time, the dynamics of the number of pharmacies in the Russian pharmaceutical market (simultaneously with the increase in market concentration indices) also demonstrates an upward trend, which indicates the rapid development of the pharmacy segment. The level of market concentration of the TOP-5 pharmacy chains based on the results of 2024 is established, and the dynamics of changes in the number of pharmacies in the Russian pharmaceutical market in the period 2017 – 2024 are determined.
The results of a marketing research study are presented in this article. Аt both federal and regional levels, the pharmaceutical market for hepatoprotectors is available. Аn overall measure of the breadth, completeness and depth assortments of hepatoprotectors. Data on the number of medicines with hepatoprotective properties. The sales volume of a group of hepatoprotectors in the Russian Federation in 2020 – 2022 has been determined.
Anxiety disorders are one of the most common forms of mental once manifested by clinical and vegetative symptoms.
Due to the fact that the occurrence of a stressful situation is often unpredictable, a combination of non-drug interaction, including knowledge of methods to increase stress tolerance and response skills in a stressful situation with effective pharmacotherapy can be considered as an optimal self-help tactic under stress. An expert assessment was conducted to form a list of the most effective and safe over-the-counter sedative drugs that can be used in stress conditions as part of responsible self-treatment. The data obtained are compared with consumer estimates in order to analyze the level of awareness of the population in matters of drug self-help of stressful conditions.
Organizations providing sanatorium and resort treatment often face a shortage of highly qualified health care professionals. Outsourcing of the medical service causes a number of new difficulties and is often impossible. At the request of practical healthcare, the author conducted a search for best practices to solve these problems. It turned out that alternative management models are absent both in open literature sources and among well-known organizations of the sanatorium-resort profile. As a result, the author has developed and implemented a new management model in which the general management of the organization and line staff remain on the customer's staff, and the management of the medical service is transferred to an outsourcer contractor with appropriate personnel and expertise. The advantages of this model are:
1) flexible contract management; 2) cost optimization; 3) elimination of excessive time and money expenses; 4) expansion of competencies; 5) risk minimization; 6) reduction of non-income-generating workspaces. Optimization of about 25 % of the direct costs of managing the medical service, as well as a number of indirect costs, has been achieved. At the same time, it was possible to avoid the problems caused by outsourcing of the medical service. The limitations of the proposed model are revealed: 1) suitable only for organizations with a small medical service; 2) does not provide direct sales of services to customers; 3) does not include research work. Thus, the developed model can be applied in organizations providing sanatorium and resort treatment, taking into account the existing limitations.
The aim of medical examination for toxins (for instance, alcohol, narcotic on so on) is a diagnostic an intoxication. However, there are a several legal and methodological complication which associated with urine/blood check-up by chemical and toxicological methods for drugs and/or psychotropic substances, new potentially dangerous psychoactive substances, intoxicants and chemicals that causes impairment of physical and mental health.
Medical reports, the algorithm for interpreting laboratory reports, validated chemical and toxicological check-up in urine/blood for psychotropic substances is proposed for drivers.
